Economic Geology Memorial Scholarship

For an undergraduate in Applied Science or Science at UBC Vancouver entering the final year of a geological program emphasizing mineral deposit geology.

One scholarship of $1,800 is awarded on the recommendation of the Department of Earth, Ocean and Atmospheric Sciences, based on academic ability, aptitude, personal qualities, and participation in activities such as the G. M. Dawson Club or the Georox Club. No separate application is required.

The scholarship honors three senior professors of the Department of Geological Sciences: Dr. Robert Mitchell Thompson, Dr. John Arthur Gower, and Dr. William Harrison White.
