Early Childhood Educator Bursary Program

Canadian citizens or permanent residents enrolled in an approved Alberta Early Learning and Child Care certificate program at an Alberta-approved institution, with a program start date between July 15, 2025 and January 15, 2028. Applicants must seek Level 2 Early Childhood Education certification and commit to 2,000 hours of work at a licensed Alberta childcare program or day home within two years of graduation. International students are not eligible.

The bursary is $10,000 per recipient, paid in two $5,000 installments (after signing a Return of Service Agreement, then after certificate completion). Up to 300 recipients are available. Administered by NorQuest College; apply at abecebursaries.ca when intake windows open.
