Undergraduate science or engineering students interested in tribology may apply for the E. Richard Booser Scholarship through the Society of Tribologists and Lubrication Engineers (STLE) Presidential Awards Program.
One $4,500 award includes a research term: $3,000 upon receipt and $1,500 upon completion of a research report. STLE membership is not required, and previous non-Booser STLE award winners may apply.
Selection is based on a faculty letter of recommendation, research relevance, and proposed research quality. Submit the application on STLE's Submittable page with a research proposal. Winners' reports are published in the STLE magazine.
