Dr. Zohreh Izadi Memorial Entrance Award

For outstanding students entering UBC Vancouver directly from secondary school or transferring from another college or university in Canada or abroad, with preference for refugee students and demonstrated achievement in the arts or sciences.

Memorial entrance awards honor Dr. Zohreh Izadi. Recipients must be academically qualified, show financial need, and have an interest in joining and contributing to the UBC Vancouver community.

Awards are made on the recommendation of the Centennial Scholars Entrance Award Committee through the standard UBC entrance award process.

Dr. Izadi worked as a physician, war medic, and humanitarian. She came to Canada as a refugee and had a deep interest in students of science and the arts.
