The Dr. Ronald R. Bubel Memorial Scholarship, funded through the South Dakota Chiropractic Association's memorial fund established in 2004, assists a deserving NWHSU chiropractic student from South Dakota. Dr. Bubel was a well-known South Dakota chiropractor and long-time university trustee who served the South Dakota Chiropractic Association in elected roles for decades. NWHSU evaluates donor-funded scholarship applicants each start term based on application materials and essay responses, with awards competitive and limited to one scholarship per term per recipient.
