About this scholarship
Open to UBC Okanagan undergraduate students entering third year in the Bachelor of Arts majoring in History. Preference is given to students with demonstrated academic excellence and financial need.
Renewable awards of $1,750 each, ordinarily renewed for a second year with continued academic standing.
No separate student application. Awards are made on the recommendation of the Department of History and Sociology.
Dr. Maurice (Maury) Williams, Professor Emeritus of History, and his wife Linda Williams endowed the awards in recognition of their deep commitment to the humanities. Dr. Williams focused his teaching and scholarship on early and modern Europe and the Kettle Valley Railway.
