For the UBC undergraduate medical student proceeding to fourth year who, in the Department's view, demonstrates the strongest general proficiency in clinical anaesthesia.
The prize is $300, endowed in memory of Dr. John L. Oulton by friends and associates. Dr. Oulton was Clinical Associate Professor in Anaesthesia and Assistant Director of Anaesthesia at Vancouver General Hospital and Director of the Departmental Medical Technology Laboratory at the time of his death in 1981.
