Dr. Graham Clay Presidential Prize

For a fourth-year MD undergraduate student matched to a surgical residency who demonstrates outstanding ability in surgical studies and the promise of an exceptional career in surgery.

A $19,250 prize is offered in memory of Dr. Graham Clay (M.D. 1956), with matching funds from the University of British Columbia.

There is no separate application. The prize is awarded on the recommendation of the Faculty of Medicine, in consultation with the Department of Surgery.

Dr. Clay had a career specializing in breast cancer treatment and helped develop the Screening Mammography Program of BC.
