Open to radiology residents whose projects at the annual Radiology Research Day are ranked most deserving based on content, scientific methodology, and presentation.
Prizes are funded through an endowment by Dr. Gordon E. Trueman and Carol Trueman. First place receives 50% of available funds, second place 30%, and third place 20%.
Recipients are chosen on the recommendation of the Department of Radiology. There is no separate application.
Dr. Trueman was the fourth radiologist in British Columbia, served in the Royal Canadian Army Medical Corps during World War II, and later headed radiology at Vancouver General Hospital.
