About this scholarship
UBC Vancouver graduate students in the School of Music who demonstrate commitment and exceptional talent in voice or instrumental performance may be considered.
Six scholarships of $2,310 each are offered annually by Dr. Geoffrey Newman. Awards are made on the recommendation of the School of Music in consultation with the Faculty of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies. There is no separate student application.
Geoffrey is a scholar and music journalist who hopes to inspire deeper interest in classical music among UBC students.
