About this scholarship

For superior in-course students in the Faculty of Arts, with preference given to students majoring in History on recommendation of the Dean of Arts.

Scholarships of $1,800 are awarded annually; the number of recipients may vary. Selection weighs academic standing within the faculty.

No separate application is described; the Dean of Arts recommends recipients.

The scholarships were provided for in the estate of Dr. Esther Isabel Clark Wright in 1990. Dr. Wright (B.A. Acadia, 1916; Ph.D., Radcliffe Harvard, 1931) was a noted author of many works, articles, and essays.
