Dr Earl B Gillanders Memorial Scholarship

For a UBC Vancouver student entering the final year in Geology who plans to enter the mining industry after graduation or continue postgraduate studies in geology. Preference is given to candidates demonstrating financial need.

One scholarship of $1,050 is offered on the recommendation of the Department of Earth, Ocean and Atmospheric Sciences, based on scholastic achievement. No separate application is required.

The scholarship was endowed by Canada Tungsten Inc. in memory of Dr. Earl B. Gillanders (B.A. Geology 1925, M.A. 1926, Ph.D. 1932).
