Residents in the Department of Anesthesia Resident Training Program at UBC Vancouver, in any year of training, are eligible for this $250 prize. The prize was endowed by friends and associates in memory of Dr. Derek Daniel Wolney (M.D. UBC 1976), who was Resident-in-Chief in the final year of his post-graduate training at the time of his passing in 1980 and is remembered for his excellence in clinical anesthesia.
