About this scholarship
For a teacher candidate or graduate student at UBC Vancouver who is engaging with students with visual impairments. Preference goes to a student who has demonstrated a strong commitment to helping others and/or is active in curriculum development.
The award is a $1,600 award established by the Osborne family in honour of Dorothy Osborne. It is made on Faculty of Education recommendation and, for graduate students, in consultation with the Faculty of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies.
There is no separate application.
Dorothy Osborne was trained as a teacher, completed a Bachelor of Arts at UBC in 1935, and was actively involved with CNIB and education for women.
