About this scholarship
The Donald and Catherine Finlayson Nursing Scholarship was established in 1997 by Dr. Donald Finlayson, longtime Sault Ste. Marie physician and LSSU campus doctor, and his wife Catherine to support nursing students at Lake Superior State University. Successful candidates must be sophomore nursing students with a minimum 3.0 GPA who demonstrate empathy with patients. Current and incoming LSSU students apply through Scholarship Universe during the open application window. Recipients must write a thank-you letter to donors as required by LSSU scholarship policy.
