Donald A. Wehrung International Student Award (Okanagan)

For outstanding international undergraduate students from developing countries entering UBC Okanagan directly from secondary school who have achieved academic excellence under difficult circumstances and would be unable to pursue post-secondary education without assistance.

Award value depends on the candidate's financial circumstances and program costs. Awards may be renewed for up to three additional years of undergraduate study or to degree completion, whichever is less, with satisfactory academic standing, a valid Canadian study permit, and continued financial need.

Candidates are nominated by secondary schools, as well as by international, community-based, and non-governmental organizations. Awards are made on the recommendation of a university selection committee with community input.
