About this scholarship
The Don Quijote Scholarship is a merit-based award of approximately sixteen thousand dollars for University of Richmond undergraduates participating in full-year or two-semester Richmond-approved study abroad programs in Spain, Portugal, or Latin America. Eligible destinations include countries such as Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, Mexico, Peru, and Spain among others listed by the department. Applicants apply through the LLC and LALIS scholarship process by February and must enroll in programs approved by the Center for Global Engagement. Endowed funds may only support University of Richmond-sponsored study abroad.
