About this scholarship
San Diego area high school seniors or graduates pursuing an AA/AS degree or certificate at a community college or accredited trade school who participated in Fairgrounds events or employment may apply for the Don Diego Vocational Education Scholarship.
The award is $5,000. Applicants must have participated prior to the applying year in an event at the Del Mar Fairgrounds, Horsepark, Del Mar Thoroughbred Club, or as a Fairgrounds employee or contractor.
Submit the online application with transcript, two recommendation letters, and a biographical essay of up to 500 words by March 30. The Don Diego Scholarship Foundation supports students active at the Del Mar Fairgrounds and San Diego County Fair.
