About this scholarship
Fall freshmen admitted to UT San Antonio by January 15 receive automatic consideration for tiered Distinguished Presidential Scholarship awards ranging from $500 to $6,000 per year based on class rank and SAT or ACT scores. At minimum, students must rank in the top 25% with an SAT of 1150 or ACT of 24.
Awards renew up to eight semesters with at least 30 UTSA credit hours and a 2.5 GPA annually. Non-residents awarded at least $1,000 per year may receive a non-resident tuition waiver.

- Renewal: maintain 2.5+ GPA, complete 30+ credit hours/year, enroll full-time (12+ hours/semester)
- Ineligible: fully online program students and UT Austin CAP participants
- No recommendation letters, essays, or supplemental documents required
- No separate scholarship application is required.
- To renew, complete at least 30 UTSA credit hours annually and maintain a 2.5 GPA.
