About this scholarship
Open to female athletes at UBC Vancouver who have completed at least one year of study and demonstrated a sincere commitment to athletics at UBC. Preference goes to candidates whose athletic contribution is in field hockey.
Scholarships with varying values totalling $5,300 are available, with each scholarship at least $1,000. A selection committee chaired by the Director of Women's Athletics recommends recipients. For graduate students, the recommendation is made in consultation with the Faculty of Graduate Studies.
The endowment honors Dianna Popowich (B.A. 1985), captain of the Thunderbird Field Hockey Team.
