About this scholarship
Graduating high school seniors with at least a 2.4 GPA who are Pell Grant eligible, participated in an approved college-readiness program in grades 11 and 12, and plan full-time enrollment in a bachelor's program may apply for the Dell Scholars Program.
Five hundred students are selected annually, each receiving approximately $5,000 per year along with a laptop, textbook credits, advising, and career coaching. Complete the online application with personal information, academic details, and short essays. Finalists submit a transcript, FAFSA Submission Summary, and a recommendation.
The program provides financial and personal support to help scholars earn their degrees.

- Must be a current high school senior participating in an approved Michael & Susan Dell Foundation college readiness program during grades 11 and 12
- Minimum 2.4 cumulative GPA
- Demonstrate financial need and be eligible for a Federal Pell Grant in the first year of college
- Plan to enroll full-time at an accredited higher education institution immediately after high school
- Online application completed during the open window (opens ~Dec 15, deadline ~Feb 15)
- Finalists must submit a current high school transcript
- Finalists must submit a FAFSA Submission Summary (FSS) / financial documentation by the finalist deadline (~May 15)
- Finalists must have one online recommendation submitted on their behalf
- Multi-stage process: initial online application -> finalist selection (~Mar 1) -> finalist materials due (~May 15) -> Scholars announced (~Jun 1)
