About this scholarship
The Dedman College Scholars Program supports incoming Southern Methodist University first-year students whose primary major is in Dedman College of Humanities and Sciences and who qualify for the University Honors Program. Scholars receive scholarship support for up to eight consecutive fall and spring terms while participating in an engaged peer community with faculty mentoring and research opportunities; SMU publications cite awards up to $10,000 per year. Recipients must maintain a cumulative SMU GPA of at least 3.300, remain full-time in a Dedman College primary major, and stay active in the University Honors Program. Traditional transfer students are not eligible.
