Dean's Scholarship

In-state incoming University of Maryland freshmen who apply by the November 1 early action deadline are automatically considered for the Dean's Scholarship. No separate application is required.

The award offers $1,500 for freshman year or $4,500 per year for freshman and sophomore years. It is not renewable beyond two years. Recipients are selected from admission materials, including academic achievement, extracurricular activities, awards, honors, and the application essay. Selected students are notified by April 1.
