Medical students who show a keen interest in health advocacy may receive the Dean Carol P. Herbert Award in Health Advocacy. Qualifying activities include working within a community organization, involvement in a social cause benefiting disadvantaged individuals, or participation in an overseas elective to a developing country with a follow-up report.
