About this scholarship
The Day of Pride Scholarship is a full cost-of-attendance merit award for outstanding Connecticut secondary school seniors with lived experiences that create vibrant learning environments and proven academic ability. Up to twenty Storrs campus recipients are selected statewide. Eligible Connecticut residents need a minimum 3.6 GPA, top-fifteen-percent class rank when available, demonstrated leadership, commitment to opportunity and access initiatives, and documented financial need. Applicants submit the Common or Coalition application by November 1 and the Day of Pride supplemental application by November 8 with essays, résumé, and two recommendations.
