About this scholarship
Undergraduate nursing students in the School of Nursing at UBC Okanagan may be nominated for a $1,800 award in memory of Dawn Stinson, established by Mitch Stinson, family, and friends. Preference is given to a mature student in good academic standing.
The award is made on the recommendation of the School of Nursing each April. There is no separate application.
Dawn Stinson (1962-2020) received her nursing degree while raising her family in Kelowna, trained in England, completed a practicum in Belize, and practiced outpost and transition nursing in British Columbia and Washington.
