About this scholarship

Natural or legally adopted children of California firefighters who died in the line of duty, whose parent's name appears or is approved to appear on the California Firefighters Memorial Wall, may apply for the Daniel A. Terry Scholarship through the California Fire Foundation. Applicants must be under age 27 and hold a high school diploma or equivalent, or be in their final year of high school.

Each initial award is $3,000 and may be renewed for up to four years. The number of recipients varies.

Submit the application with enrollment certification, a family photo, an autobiography, a W-9 form, and a brief essay on how being a child of a fallen firefighter affected your life and how the scholarship will impact your future.
