Dale Flexman Award for Women in Athletics

Open to outstanding UBC Vancouver women varsity athletes in any year of study who demonstrate leadership.

Award amounts vary, from a minimum of $500 each up to athletic association maximums. The Flexman family endowed the awards in honour of Dale Flexman (B.Ed.(Sec). 1972).

No separate student application. Awards are made on the recommendation of the Athletics Awards Committee.

Bruce Flexman and daughters Tyla (B.H.K. 2009), Alana, Jennifer, and Molly established the award to celebrate Dale, a former UBC cheerleader, figure skater, and recipient of the Big Block Sweater.
