About this scholarship
The Cutler-Sametz Choral Arts Scholarship at Lehigh University supports talented incoming singers of any major through a merit-based award totaling $10,000 to $20,000 over four years plus voice lessons. Named for former Lehigh choral directors Robert B. Cutler and Steven P. Sametz, the scholarship requires participation in University Choir throughout enrollment and in the Glee Club, Dolce, or Choral Union for at least four semesters. Applicants complete a separate music department application due January 5, including recordings of two solo classical works and a vocal teacher recommendation, with finalists invited for an on-campus or Zoom interview. Recipients must maintain a 2.8 GPA to renew.
