About this scholarship
Since 1928, Curtis Institute of Music has provided merit-based full-tuition scholarships to every admitted student regardless of financial situation, ensuring admissions are based solely on artistic promise. For the 2026-27 school year the annual value is $55,995 for undergraduate students and $69,527 for graduate students. These scholarships cover educational expenses and renew each year of enrollment. No financial aid application is required for the full-tuition scholarship itself. Curtis also offers separate need-based aid for living expenses through FAFSA and CSS Profile. Students are encouraged to pursue external funding before requesting need-based Curtis grants for room, board, and personal costs in Philadelphia.
