About this scholarship
The Cullen Scholarship at the University of Houston-Downtown supports new freshmen entering in the fall with fifteen hundred dollars per academic year, disbursed as seven hundred fifty dollars per fall and spring semester. Applicants must have at least a 2.7 high school GPA on a four-point scale, have graduated from high school within the last two years, and enroll in twelve or more UHD college credit hours each semester. Official transcripts must be submitted for admission acceptance. The scholarship may renew when renewal criteria are met each semester. UHD ranks merit-based freshman candidates from admission records, and approved recipients are notified by mail with a scholarship agreement letter due by the stated deadline.
