About this scholarship

Open to full-time UBC Vancouver master's or doctoral students. Preference is given to graduate students with disabilities, First Nations graduate students, and women pursuing study in medicine, neuroscience, genetics, health care and epidemiology, pharmaceutical sciences, music, theatre and film, forestry, and architecture. If preferred candidates are insufficient in a given year, awards may go to outstanding graduate students in any field.

Fellowships of $18,000 each, endowed by Cordula Paetzold and UBC, may be renewed for a second year subject to satisfactory academic standing, attendance, and progress.

Awards are made on the recommendation of the Faculty of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies. There is no separate student application.
