About this scholarship

Open to a UBC graduate student in adult education who has completed 24 or more credits of coursework and is proceeding to a major paper, thesis, or dissertation. The recipient should best combine high academic standing and research potential.

The award is a $550 prize honouring Coolie Verner, the first professor in the Department of Adult Education from 1961 to 1977.

The Head of the Department of Educational Studies makes the recommendation. There is no separate student application.
