About this scholarship

Open annually to a continuing Indigenous student enrolled in the Faculty of Nursing at the University of Calgary (entering second, third, or fourth year). Applicants must be Canadian citizens or permanent residents and show academic merit.

One award of up to $2,200 is available.

This is an undergraduate nominated award for continuing students. Applicants must submit a letter of support from an Indigenous community member and a 250-word essay outlining their connection to Indigenous community. Established by Agnes A. Cooke in memory of her sister Concordia Christine Stephanson (born February 18, 1920; died at five months of age) to support Indigenous students pursuing nursing.
