About this scholarship
First-time degree-seeking undergraduates at Colorado Mesa University whose parents or court-ordered legal guardians have not earned a four-year college degree may receive a renewable First Generation Scholarship of $1,000 per year.
No separate application is required for first-time students. Eligibility is determined from CMU admission responses. Recipients need a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA, must complete the FAFSA, and must enroll full-time with at least 12 credit hours each fall and spring semester. The award may be stacked with other CMU merit scholarships and continues until a bachelor's degree or 120 attempted credit hours.
