About this scholarship

The Collens Scholars Program, part of The Chicago Difference initiative, provides full tuition and mandatory fees plus a competitive housing scholarship of up to three thousand dollars for graduates of Chicago public and charter high schools entering Illinois Institute of Technology. Candidates apply via Early Decision or Early Action by November 15 and submit FAFSA by January 15 with Pell Grant eligibility and completed financial aid verification. Most Collens Scholars have ACT scores of twenty-three to thirty, weighted GPA near 3.9, or top ten percent class rank. Recipients are notified in March and must accept by April 1. Transfer students are ineligible.
