About this scholarship

First-time degree-seeking Colorado Mesa University students whose parent or court-ordered legal guardian earned a certificate or degree from CMU or CMU Tech may receive the renewable Next Generation Scholarship, formerly the Legacy award.

Recipients receive $1,000 per year while enrolled full time (12+ credits) with a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA. The scholarship renews until a bachelor's degree is earned or 120 attempted credit hours are reached.

Apply to Colorado Mesa University and provide accurate information about the parent or guardian's graduation from CMU or CMU Tech. The award may be stacked with other CMU merit or transfer scholarships.
