Entry automatic merit tier of the Climb Higher Scholarship for first-time freshmen or first-time transfer students admitted to WVU Morgantown with an incoming GPA between 3.0 and 3.49. WVU evaluates eligible applicants automatically from the admission application with no separate scholarship process. West Virginia residents receive $1,500 per year at Morgantown for up to four undergraduate years. Non-residents at this level receive $8,000 per year. Students must be admitted by August 1, 2026 for fall entry. Renewal requires maintaining a 2.75 overall GPA and earning 30 credit hours each academic year.
