About this scholarship
International or returning Canadian doctoral students nominated for a Canada Impact+ Research Training Award (CIRTA) through the University of Toronto, with research in a federal priority area, may hold this multi-year doctoral research training award at U of T. Nominees must not be affiliated with a Canadian institution at nomination, must be studying or working abroad, and must have applied for admission to a funded doctoral program (PhD or SJD) at U of T. The award amount varies. Selection is by faculty nomination, not open application.
Successful CIHR CIRTA nominees who named U of T as the institution paid activate funding through their graduate department and the Graduate Awards Office.
