About this scholarship
Select entering freshmen from high school and transfer students from a California community college at UC Irvine are automatically considered for the Chancellor's Excellence Scholarship based on the UC application for admission. Eligible students include U.S. citizens, eligible non-citizens, international students with a valid visa, and students qualifying under AB 130 or AB 131. Apply for fall admission by November 30.
This Distinguished Scholarship includes a monetary honorarium, an on-campus housing guarantee, and participation in distinguished-scholar programs. It is renewable for one additional year when eligibility requirements are met. Award amounts vary.
No separate scholarship application is required. Recipients must submit a Statement of Intent to Register by the university deadline.
