Bachelor of Science students at UBC Vancouver who have excelled in a science communication course are eligible for this prize. One $2,500 prize is made available annually. There is no separate application; the prize is awarded on the recommendation of the Faculty of Science.
The prize was established through a gift from Dan Vickery (B.Sc. 1986, Ph.D. 1991) and Carolyn Myers (Ph.D. 1988), founders and principals of BioEnsemble, a pharmaceutical and biotechnology consulting company, and advisory board members of the Centre for Molecular Medicine & Therapeutics.
