About this scholarship

Outstanding high school seniors admitted to UNC-Chapel Hill are automatically considered for the Carolina Scholarship based on academic achievement and leadership potential. Carolina Scholars are invited to join the UNC Scholars Program.

Award amounts vary. Awards are renewable for up to four years (eight semesters).

Apply for admission by the Early Action or Regular Decision deadline; no separate scholarship application is required. For fullest consideration for academic scholarships, submitting the FAFSA by January 10 is recommended.
