About this scholarship
The Carole and Jim Hegenbarth Scholarship Endowment provides a one-time one thousand dollar award to help first-generation University of Houston undergraduates achieve their higher-education goals. Eligible applicants must be certified degree-seeking undergraduate students in good standing at UH and demonstrate financial need as determined by the FAFSA. Recipients are selected through the UH general scholarship application process. The award is a single disbursement rather than a renewable annual scholarship. First-generation status and financial need are primary selection criteria established by the donor.
