One or more awards may range from $500 each up to the maximum allowed under athletic association regulations, without exceeding $2,500 per student, funded through an estate gift from Carl Trygve Carlsen (B.A. 1957). Selection is made on the recommendation of the Athletics Awards Committee; there is no separate application.
