About this scholarship
The Canes Achievement Award is a renewable merit scholarship for fall first-year students at the University of Miami. All applicants who submit a completed admission application by the deadline are automatically considered without a separate scholarship application. Award amounts range up to twenty thousand dollars annually based on academic achievement and holistic review of the applicant pool. Recipients may receive only one merit scholarship from the Office of Undergraduate Admission. Scholars must enroll full time with at least twelve credit hours each fall and spring semester and maintain a 3.0 annual GPA. Awards are limited to eight semesters or completion of the first undergraduate degree.
