About this scholarship
Outstanding PhD candidates nominated by McMaster University faculty supervisors may receive the Canada Impact + Research Training Awards (CIRTA) Doctoral scholarship. It is open to international researchers abroad or returning Canadians without a current Canadian institutional affiliation, and is not open to students already at a Canadian institution.
The scholarship is $40,000 per year for up to three years. Faculty supervisors submit nominations; see the McMaster School of Graduate Studies page for current cycle deadlines and priority research areas.
