About this scholarship

High-achieving master's students at eligible Canadian institutions who are Canadian citizens, permanent residents, or protected persons in a research-oriented graduate program, typically with a first-class average in the last two completed years of study. Applications go through CIHR, NSERC, or SSHRC under the Canada Graduate Research Scholarship - Master's Program (CGRS M).

$27,000 for 12 months, non-renewable.

Applications are due December 1 before 8:00 p.m. ET via the Research Portal. The program develops research skills and trains highly qualified personnel across eligible research fields.
