Campus Residence Grants at Macalester College support undergraduates with significant demonstrated financial need who live in Macalester housing, including residence halls, language houses, and Grand Cambridge apartments. The grant amount is expected to equal approximately seventeen percent of the price of a standard on-campus room each year. Students who move off campus, typically during junior or senior year, lose the grant for that term but may have it restored if they return to Macalester housing. Students on Macalester-approved study away who qualify for need-based grants may also receive a Campus Residence Grant for that semester.
