About this scholarship

U.S. citizens or permanent residents with an undergraduate degree in mathematics or a related STEM field may apply for Boston University's one-year Master of Arts in Teaching program leading to secondary mathematics licensure. The J-Squared Noyce program provides full-tuition scholarships for up to 31 scholars who commit to teaching two years in a high-need district after certification.

Apply through BU Wheelock graduate admissions, including an essay on teaching in high-need schools. Scholars receive ongoing support through workshops, seminars, and mentoring during and after the program.

The J-Squared Project prepares teachers to facilitate meaningful mathematical discourse while addressing issues of racism and social injustice in the classroom.
