About this scholarship

Outstanding UBC Vancouver Thunderbird varsity ice hockey student-athletes in any year of study are eligible.

Two awards are offered, each with a minimum value of $500 up to the maximum allowable under athletic association guidelines. Preference is given to one male and one female student-athlete in Science, Engineering, Medicine, or Education who have distinguished themselves academically and athletically.

Recipients are selected on recommendation of the Varsity Athletic Awards Committee. There is no separate application.

The endowment honors Dr. Bruce Todd, who had a long association with UBC as a researcher, instructor, and minor hockey coach.
